As a pastor’s wife and women’s ministry leader, Cheryl Lutz spent years looking to others’ approval for her identity and worth. Her endless striving eventually led to spiritual, physical, and emotional exhaustion. Until she discovered a deeper understanding of what it means to find security and rest in Christ.
Today, as the founder of Securely Held Ministries, Cheryl helps Christian women break free from the power of other people’s opinions and find rest in the security of God’s embrace. Through biblical teaching, personal stories, and practical application, Cheryl equips women to exchange striving for the freedom of living securely held by God.
Cheryl is an award-winning author, Christian speaker, certified biblical counselor, and recovering people-pleaser. Her book, Securely Held: Finding Significance and Security in the Shelter of God’s Embrace, received the 2024 Selah Award for Christian Life Book of the Year.
Cheryl has been happily married to her husband, Alan, since 1989. They have four adult children, two granddogs, and two grandcats.
