Abusive Relationships and Finding Safety in God

Abigail displays her discernment when the wicked Nabal treats the future King David and his men poorly--and she convinces David not to slaughter Nabal and all his household in retaliation.

We see David's gratitude when he says to the wise and lovely Abigail:

Blessed be your discretion, and blessed be you, who have kept me this day from bloodguilt and from working salvation with my own hand! ~ 1 Samuel 25:33‍

Dear One, as we seek God's face in our distressing circumstances, He will also grant us wisdom and discretion!

Special Guest: Author and Inspirational Speaker Michelle Ruddell‍

I am excited to introduce our special guest, Michelle Ruddell. Michelle shares a snippet of her journey to freedom from an abusive marriage in my Christian Living book, which launches in early November 2023. In Securely Held: Finding Significance and Security in the Shelter of God’s Embrace, Michelle shares how God protected her and helped her and her two daughters find safety.
