We invite you to tune in to the latest Secure in God's Embrace podcast--as we discuss the nameless woman who overcame rejection and discovered security in God in Luke chapter seven. She crashed a dinner party and anointed Jesus’ feet with her tears and ointment and dried them with her hair--while the host made it clear she didn't have a seat at his table. Here is what we know about her from Luke 7:
And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment. (Luke 7:37-38 ESV)
The pharisaical host saw only her sin--yet we see Jesus saw her as God's daughter--through her faith and repentance as she worshipped and served at His feet. Jesus says about her:
Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. (Luke 7:47 ESV)
